BYD Reaches Milestone: 10 Millionth Dynasty Series Vehicle Rolls Off Line
BYD rolled off its 10 millionth Dynasty series vehicle on 29 September 2026, a Da Han flagship sedan. The Chinese automaker achieved this landmark 13 years after launching the Dynasty lineup in 2013. The series comprises six product lines and 27 distinct models, contributing approximately 9 million units of BYD's total 15 million electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles sold to date.
BYD announced on 29 September 2026 that its 10 millionth Dynasty series vehicle had rolled off the production line, marking a significant milestone for the Shenzhen automaker. The vehicle is a Da Han flagship sedan, also called the Great Han. The milestone was reached 13 years after the Dynasty series launched with the Qin model in August 2013.
The Dynasty lineup comprises six product lines—Tang, Han, Qin, Song, Yuan, and Xia—named after Chinese imperial dynasties, encompassing 27 distinct models. Cumulative sales accelerated from 8.86 million units in January 2026 to approximately 10 million by September, positioning Dynasty as the primary sales driver for BYD. Of the automaker's first 15 million new energy vehicles sold, the Dynasty series accounts for roughly 9 million units.
The Da Han measures 5256/1999/1510 mm with a 3,130 mm wheelbase. The sedan features a dual-chamber DiSus-A air suspension capable of raising ground clearance by 100 mm and rear-wheel steering, reducing turning radius to 4.95 meters. It includes the DiPilot 300 assisted driving system supporting Navigate On Autopilot functionality on urban roads and highways.
The entry-level single-motor Da Han produces 370 kW (496 hp) and pairs with a 102.326 kWh battery for an estimated 1,008 km range under CLTC conditions. The dual-motor AWD variant generates a combined 570 kW (764 hp) with the same battery, delivering an 880 km CLTC range. Pricing starts at 249,900 Chinese yuan.
