Li Auto Launches Second-Generation Mega in China at 75,000 USD
Li Auto officially launched the second-generation Mega on 2 September 2026, priced at 509,800 yuan (75,000 USD). The new model features comprehensive upgrades to exterior design, interior luxury, intelligent driving capabilities, and chassis performance. Deliveries commence this week, with a right-hand drive variant entering Hong Kong, Macau, and Thailand markets by year-end.
The second-generation Mega introduces refined exterior enhancements. The front fascia features "crystal brilliance" decorative accents and replaces conventional ultrasonic radars with UWB high-precision near-field sensors for a cleaner appearance. Headlights utilise ADB technology with silver rounded-rectangular details, complemented by an intelligent tri-colour "Star Ring" lighting system. Customers can select from five body colours. The new 18-inch "Flying saucer" wheels, offered in Space Grey and Panda White, represent a standout feature. Additional upgrades include semi-hidden door handles with anti-pinch electric suction doors and a 2.6-metre welcome light carpet.
Interior accommodation emphasises dual-tone colour schemes. A 29-inch OLED 6K panoramic screen dominates the dashboard, powered by dual Mahe M100 processors delivering 2,560 TOPS total computing power. The steering wheel LCD display has been removed, with seats now featuring diamond-grid patterns. The rear cabin is optimised throughout: a dual-vertical sunroof with independent shades and 396-LED "Home Light" system enables customisable ambience. Side and rear windows feature EC dimming glass and electric sunshades. Four zero-gravity seats (front and second row) support stepless rotation for face-to-face interaction, whilst third-row seating incorporates heating and ventilation.
The Mega elevates autonomous capability via a 4-Lidar sensor suite and the new-generation Mahe VLA driver model. Propulsion combines dual motors: the front unit produces 155 kW (208 hp) and the rear 258 kW (346 hp), yielding combined maximum output of 413 kW (554 hp). A 108 kWh CATL ternary lithium battery pack delivers 710 kilometres of pure electric range. The chassis features dual-chamber air springs, dual-valve CDC damping, and an 800V active anti-roll system that nearly eliminates body lean during cornering. Steer-by-wire and ±7° rear-wheel steering reduce turning radius to 5.5 metres.
