Hyundai launched IONIQ 3 orders on 2 September 2026 as its inaugural compact electric hatchback within the IONIQ family. Four trim levels—Advance, Premium, Ultimate, and N Line Evo—are offered with 42 kWh or 61 kWh battery options. The base configuration achieves 213 miles of WLTP range, while the extended battery variant delivers 308 miles.

The vehicle demonstrates a best-in-class drag coefficient of 0.263 with dimensions of 4,155 mm in length and 1,800 mm in width. Total boot capacity reaches 441 liters including an underfloor Megabox storage unit, matching performance standards against key competitors. The IONIQ 3 employs 400V electrical architecture to control costs, though DC fast charging enables 10% to 80% recharge in approximately 29 to 30 minutes.

The model incorporates Hyundai's new Pleos Connect infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS, featuring 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch displays with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additional capabilities include Hyundai Digital Key 2, Plug & Charge functionality, integrated EV route planning, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. Production commenced at the Izmit facility in Turkey with initial capacity of 30,000 units annually.
