The new version features rapid DC charging at 155 kW, enabling a 30–80 percent charge in just 19 minutes, making longer journeys more practical for European customers.
BYD, the global leader in electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle production, unveiled the ATTO 2 Comfort, an enhanced variant of its popular fully electric compact SUV that has gained considerable traction among European customers seeking practical vehicles combining city-friendly dimensions with family-car spaciousness.
The ATTO 2 Comfort integrates a 64.8 kWh Blade battery—approximately 20 kWh larger than other electric versions of the ATTO 2—delivering an impressive 430 km range over the WLTP mixed cycle and exceeding 600 km under urban driving conditions. BYD significantly improved charging performance by raising DC charging power from 65 kW to 155 kW, making the Comfort variant the fastest-charging version in the lineup despite its larger battery capacity. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 25 minutes, while the 30–80 percent window requires just 19 minutes, enabling more convenient long-distance travel. An integrated 11 kW three-phase AC charger comes standard, achieving full 0–100 percent charge in just over seven hours.
The vehicle maintains compact dimensions of 4,310 mm length, 1,830 mm width and 1,675 mm height, featuring refined styling with seamless full-LED headlamps and slim daytime running lights. Built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 architecture with Cell-to-Body (CTB) integration technology, the battery is fully merged into the chassis, delivering a completely flat floor and superior space efficiency across the cabin. To accommodate the larger battery pack, the Comfort trim adopts a multi-link rear suspension replacing the torsion beam used elsewhere in the range.
Interior highlights include six-way power front seat adjustment—uncommon for the B-segment—heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a panoramic glass roof maximizing natural light. The cabin features a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster supporting applications like Spotify, YouTube and Amazon Music. Multiple USB ports (two USB-C at front, two USB-C at rear) and a 50 W wireless smartphone charger are integrated, alongside advanced voice control activated by the "Hi BYD" command for intuitive operation of key functions.
