Volvo Marks 100 Years with Special Edition FH16 Electric Semi
Volvo unveiled a commemorative 100 Year Edition of its FH16 Electric heavy-duty truck to celebrate the company's centennial milestone. The special variant features a two-tone exterior, premium leather seating with embroidered branding, and upgraded cabin amenities including customizable ambient lighting. The edition represents Volvo's evolution in safety and efficiency over its first century.
Volvo unveiled its 100 Year Edition FH16 Electric in September 2026, marking a century since the company's 1927 founding. The special-edition semi features a two-tone exterior design with coordinating anniversary striping and premium leather seating embroidered with "100 Year Edition" branding on the grey upper textile, complemented by tan leather accents.
Cabin upgrades include switchable ambient LED lighting in red and white, illuminated doorsteps, and console LED strips. An LED welcome light projects the anniversary branding onto the ground when doors open, with matching 3D-printed speaker grilles. Sleeper cab curtains display a timeline of Volvo's significant truck models across its century of operations, paired with a thicker, luxurious floor mat in black and grey mélange featuring tan leather labels.
Design Director Jonathan Disley described the interior as both modern and premium, blending Volvo's Swedish heritage with a century of innovation. The FH16 Electric delivers 540 kW of peak power from advanced eAxles powered by a 360 kWh battery (up to 780 kWh available), achieving up to 400 km of loaded range. Charging from 20 to 80 percent requires approximately one hour at 350 kW capacity. Order books opened immediately, with pricing details to be confirmed through dealerships.
